TEXAS WOMAN'S UNIVERSITY
FRATERNITY AND SORORITY LIFE
Go Greek at TWU!
The purpose of the Office of Greek Life at Texas Woman's University (TWU) is to enhance student development through involvement in Greek organizations while complementing the mission of the University. We strive to foster positive relationships with the administration, faculty, and between the various organizations to encourage a unified campus community. TWU Fraternity and Sorority Life promote and support career networking, diversity, leadership, friendship, athletics and community service.
Leadership & Involvement
TWU's fraternity and sorority community is self-governing, which gives student leaders a great opportunity to enact policies for their organization, as well as all four governing councils. Opportunities abound for leadership through attending seminars, Greek leadership conferences, and holding officer and committee positions within the chapter.
Scholarship
Scholastic achievement is at the forefront of the TWU fraternity and sorority community. Each fraternity and sorority has a minimum GPA requirement for its members, along with a supportive environment of chapter study halls, tutoring, and scholarship programs that will enhance your educational career. Individual chapters provide various incentives and recognition to promote academic excellence.
Brotherhood & Sisterhood
Greek life is not something you do; it is something you are. Membership in a fraternity or sorority is a proactive and cherished learning experience for both men and women with shared values and objectives. These friendships last beyond the college years and are nutured by alumnae activities and networking programs that provide opportunities for continued camaraderie, service and personal development.
Community Service
TWU Greek Life actively promotes and emphasizes service to the community through numerous humanitarian and philanthropic efforts. Greek students are involved in many community service projects for the Denton, Dallas and Fort Worth areas.
